Rolling Dice in Discord

The Loreden bot makes it easy to roll any kind of check — from a raw dice expression to a full skill check with your character's exact modifier. Results appear as formatted embeds that show the dice roll, modifier, and total at a glance.

Basic dice rolls​

Roll any standard dice expression:

!roll 1d20
!roll 2d6+3
!roll 1d8+5
!roll 3d6

Ability score checks​

If a character is linked to the channel, you can roll using ability names:

!roll strength
!roll dexterity
!roll constitution
!roll intelligence
!roll wisdom
!roll charisma

Loreden will roll a d20 and add the matching modifier from your character sheet.

Skill checks​

Roll any Pathfinder skill using its name:

!roll perception
!roll stealth
!roll diplomacy
!roll knowledge arcana
!roll sense motive
!roll disable device

Loreden uses your character's actual skill total — including ranks, ability modifier, class skill bonus, and any other modifiers on the sheet.

Saving throws​

!roll fortitude
!roll reflex
!roll will

Attack rolls​

!attack Longsword
!attack Shortbow

Loreden rolls your full attack sequence for that weapon, showing each attack in the full attack chain with the correct BAB progression.

To see all weapons available for the linked character:

Advantage and disadvantage​

Roll two dice and take the higher (advantage) or lower (disadvantage) result:

!roll perception advantage
!roll perception disadvantage
!roll 1d20+5 advantage

What the results look like​

Results appear as Discord embeds showing:

  • The character's name and portrait
  • The type of roll (e.g. "Perception Check")
  • The raw dice result
  • The modifier applied
  • The final total

Natural 20s are highlighted in green. Natural 1s are highlighted in red.

Rolling from Loreden instead of Discord​

If you prefer clicking to typing, the Studio on loreden.net has a full roll interface. Click any skill, ability, save, or weapon and the roll will be posted to whichever Discord channel your character is linked to.
