PathCompanion Sync
PathCompanion is a popular Pathfinder 1E character builder app for iOS and Android. If you already use it to manage your character's stats and builds, Loreden can stay in sync with it automatically — so you never have to enter numbers in two places.
How it works
You link a Loreden character to a PathCompanion character using a character key. After that, clicking Sync pulls the latest version of your stats from PathCompanion into Loreden in seconds.
Loreden only updates the mechanical side of your character — your backstory, personality, relationships, and any other roleplay content you've written in Loreden are never touched by a sync.

Linking your character
Finding your character key in PathCompanion
- Open PathCompanion on your device
- Open the character you want to link
- Tap the Share or Export option — the exact location varies by app version, but look for a sync or link icon
- Copy the character key (it will be a long string of letters and numbers)
Linking in Loreden
- Go to your character's page in Loreden
- Click Link PathCompanion (found in the character actions menu)
- Paste your character key and click Link
- Loreden will immediately fetch your character's current stats
Syncing after a level-up
After gaining a level (or making any changes) in PathCompanion:
- Open your character in Loreden
- Click the Sync button
- Your stats update within seconds
You can also sync from Discord:
!sync Your Character Name
Or sync all your PathCompanion-linked characters at once:
!syncall
Conflict resolution
If you've edited your character's stats directly in Loreden since the last sync, Loreden will notice the conflict and ask you to choose what to keep before applying the new data.
You'll see a side-by-side comparison showing what changed in each version, and you can pick your Loreden edits, the incoming PathCompanion data, or merge them field by field.
Conflicts only appear when you've changed stats in Loreden and there are new changes incoming from PathCompanion. If you only edit roleplay fields (bio, personality, etc.), there's never a conflict — those fields are always preserved.
Unlinking a character
You can unlink a character from PathCompanion at any time. Your existing stats remain in Loreden — unlinking just means future syncs won't happen. All your roleplay content is unaffected.
