Discord Quick Start
The Loreden Discord bot lets you roll dice, check stats, and display character profiles right inside your server — no tab-switching required.
Step 1 — Invite the bot to your server
Ask your server admin to invite the Loreden bot using the invite link on loreden.net. Only someone with the Manage Server permission can add bots.
Once the bot is in your server, you'll see Loreden appear in the member list.
Step 2 — Link a character to a channel
Each channel can have one "active" character. When that character is linked, your rolls will use their stats automatically.
In any channel, type:
!setchar Your Character Name
Loreden will confirm which character has been linked. From that point on, any roll commands in that channel will use that character's modifiers.
You can link different characters to different channels. This is useful if you have an IC roleplay channel and a separate dice channel.
Step 3 — Roll your first check
Try a skill check:
!roll perception
Loreden will roll a d20, add your character's Perception modifier, and post the result with a formatted embed showing the total and the breakdown.
You can also roll straight dice:
!roll 1d20+5
!roll 2d6
Step 4 — Roll from the web, post to Discord
If you prefer a visual interface, head to the Studio on loreden.net. From there you can click any skill, ability, or weapon to roll — and if your character is linked to a Discord channel, the result appears there automatically.
