Character Templates
Templates let you save a character build — or a partially filled character — and reuse it later. They're great for pre-built class archetypes, recurring NPC types, or sharing popular builds with your community.
Saving a character as a template
- Open any character you want to save as a template
- Click the Actions menu and choose Save as Template
- Give your template a name and an optional description
- Choose whether to make it Private (only you can see it) or Public (anyone can browse it)
Everything on the character sheet is saved into the template — stats, skills, spells, feats, gear, and all roleplay fields. You can clean up any personal notes you don't want included before saving.
Browsing templates
Templates shared publicly by other users are available in the Template Library. You can browse by class, level range, or keyword search.
Creating a character from a template
- From the New Character screen, choose Start from Template
- Browse or search the library
- Click a template to preview it
- Click Use This Template — this creates a new character on your account based on the template
Your new character is completely your own. Changes you make don't affect the original template.
Editing or deleting your templates
You can manage your saved templates from your profile page under My Templates. From there you can rename, update the description, change public/private visibility, or delete any template you own.
